If you're looking for a swanky weekend getaway, Shelby County should be at the top of your list. We've collected some of our favorite things to see and do to give you some action - a packed itinerary for your next trip to Kentucky.

During the day, there is plenty to do at Gallrein and its surroundings, but before you leave town, wine lovers have their own options. Shelbyville is home to one of the largest horse breeding areas in the country, with a variety of farms to visit. There are many ways to explore the farms so you can enjoy beautiful scenes of bluegrass, learn about the farm and take home some treats. Take a day trip to the Shelby County Historical Society or the Kentucky Museum of Natural History and make sure you try it at their museum and museum.

There are plenty of free events for children of all ages, and while many of the exhibits at the Louisville Science Center are aimed at school-age children, there are plenty of things for toddlers to enjoy.

As the city grows, the opportunities get better and better, and you find more and more things you love about Shelbyville. This small town is the heart of Kentucky, with so many people who grew up in this beloved community and continue to support it.
